Production Operative (Packers)

Description

If you’re looking for a career in the food industry ,we are one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. We are looking for “Packers” to join our existing team at our Treburley site. If transport is usually a barrier, we will work with you on a solution when you apply.

You’ll be responsible for the packing, weighing and labelling of meat products as per customer specification on a shift pattern of Monday to Friday from 6.00am to 2.30pm. It’s a real team effort and you’ll benefit from the support and company of your fellow packers as you work to achieve your daily goal. You’ll need to be physically fit and have a flexible approach to work with it being such a fast paced and dynamic environment. Experience within other food factory environments is desirable but not essential.

You’ll have a varied career path which allows you to either come and go seasonally or take up a permanent contract. Also your development is in your hands. You can choose to either stick to what you enjoy as a packer, or you can look to develop into other areas including becoming a Trimmer or a Butcher of meat where you can earn £11.00-£12.00 per hour.

As a packer you will receive a base rate of £10.02 per hour. However, good attendance and performance will be rewarded by becoming eligible for a throughput bonus that can take the hourly rate to £11.02 per hour. One of your 30 minute breaks will also be paid each day.
