Dunbia are delighted to have received recognition at the World Steak Challenge 2022 for the superior quality of our beef steak across a range of our premium brands – including our West Country Choice PGI Beef and Rose County Prime Beef. Securing awards in all 3 categories, this prestigious event reaffirms the high-quality of our naturally produced grass-fed beef.
This year’s challenge took place at the Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin in conjunction with official host partner Bord Bia, equipment provider Synergy Grill Technology and judging partner FIRE Steakhouse. The World Steak Challenge is organised by Food Manufacture publisher William Reed, as well as other leading business food and drink publications.
Now in its eighth year, the World Steak Challenge gives steak producers and suppliers the opportunity to showcase their product quality, breed credentials and processing standards on an international stage.
The judging panel consisted of over 60 independent experts – from butchers, chefs and food technologists, who blind tasted a record number of Striploin, Fillet and Ribeye steaks from over 20 different countries around the world.

Commenting on the Group’s awards, Neil Lanigan, said: “We are proud to have been awarded by the panel at this year’s World Steak Challenge. Not only is it testament to the hard work and dedication of our top-class producers, it is a great endorsement of our exclusive process which combines tradition and technology to consistently produce an outstanding steak. We are delighted that the Judges enjoyed them as much as we enjoyed selecting, producing and presenting them.”
At Dunbia, our desire to create better food naturally is the driving force behind everything we do, and we are delighted to have received independent recognition for this. For more information on our award-winning brands, please contact salesenquiries@dunbia.com
