Dunbia wins Gold at the World Steak Challenge

Dunbia were delighted to receive recognition at the 2021 World Steak Challenge for the superior quality of their beef across a number of brands. Securing awards in all 3 steak categories, this prestigious event reaffirms the high-quality of our naturally better beef.

Gold awards were secured across all brands entered including our West Country Choice PGI Beef and Rose County brands with an amazing 2 golds and a silver awarded to our Caledonia Crown Scotch Beef PGI range

The awards were announced virtually on Wednesday 10th November with the winners comprehensively judged against internationally recognised criteria for raw and cooked product which critiques appearance, flavour, aroma, succulence and tenderness.

The judging panel consisted of over 50 experts – from butchers, chefs and food technologists – plus an additional 28 consumer judges, who over the course of 12 hours blind tasted a record number of Striploin, Fillet and Ribeye steaks from over 20 different countries around the world.
