DUNBIA STAFF & FARMERS PRESENT £25,000 TO NICHS

Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke is over £25,000 better off thanks to the generous fund-raising efforts of Dunbia staff and farmers.

The charity was chosen by Dunbia staff as the nominated charity for 2014/15 and was the beneficiary of all monies raised through the company during this time.

Kerry Anderson, Director of Fundraising, NICHS expressed her delight and gratitude to Dunbia: “This is an exceptional donation from Dunbia staff and farmers and will go a long way towards our annual fund-raising target of £3m.  The company is exemplary in how they embraced their fund-raising activity by engaging staff, suppliers and customers in such a positive way.  The total donated shows what is possible when a focussed approach is adopted by large employers.  On behalf of NICHS, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to our cause.”

Dunbia engaged in a range of fund-raising activities which consisted of a Farmer’s Gala Ball, Grocery Bag Pack, Cupcake competition to name but a few .  “Dunbia has adopted a committed approach to CSR and we work to engage staff, suppliers and customers in all our CSR activity,” comments Janet Dobson, Dunbia Company Secretary.  We have been delighted to support NICHS last year and hope that our donation will help in some way towards the excellent work which they do.  I would like to thank all our staff, farmers and customers who helped us raise so much.”
